First solo
This past Saturday, I completed my first solo flight in the Harvard.
It took me 9.4 hours dual, but at least I finally got there. It just goes to show that you don't have to be a super pilot to fly such aircraft, as long as you are persistant and get some good instruction.
I will now be doing a couple of hours solo practice, before taking the wings qualification flight test. Wish me luck!

Thanks murphy!
My solo was in a Mk. II, C-FMTX. It was the first time that I had ever been in the aircraft, as my training thus far has been conducted in another Mk. II, C-FHWX, and in a Mk. 4, C-FWPK.
It is such a privilege to have the chance to fly these wonderful airplanes!

P.S. Check out the roar of the Harvard's 9' propeller!

Well done, MLS-12D! You lucky bugga. I've been drooling over the one at North Weald since I got there. I don't know if it still belongs to Gary Numan, but it does still have his name painted on the side.

Harvards seem to have dropped out of fashion, cost, I suspect, has something to do with it.
In any case, if money were the only concern, I would fly a Cessna 150 or something equally practical. But 'you can't take it with you'!
All the ex-Harvard pilots now fly Yaks.
Thanks for the good wishes AerBabe.
