How are the years of membership for earning a 5, 10, 15 year etc badge calculated? My join date, displayed in my profile was 20 Aug 2010, which my simple brain tells me would make me eligible for a 15 years badge for the past week, but in the badges section of my profile, all are locked except the 10 years badge.

Not the biggest problem one can have in life and I’ll probably manage to keep my tears at bay, just asking

ETA: and with that post, the system updated me to a 15 years badge, so it seems to only calculate to the last date you posted. So now I know, and so do you. My work here is done

I don't understand the badge issue here but it doesn't matter. But I can't help myself and MUST post this famous movie clip:

Teej- a little late maybe but does the "Greggs" badge mean that you have worked for them for 15 years, you have been a customer of theirs for 15 years or that you have made over 15 purchases from them?
... or are you on a (sausage) roll with all those badges??

These badges were originally designed by our Automotive Communities team and not designed to be customized. PPRuNe is the only site in the IB portfolio that has significant numbers of non-US veterans/servicemembers, so I cannot get authorization for such a (relatively) specific set of badges. It also comes then with, "Well what about the Australian branches? New Zealand? Italian? German?". I know that is not an answer that likely feels respectful towards your service or the forces of our allies, but that is the unfortunate corporate reality and I respect you enough to tell you the plain truth..

I think it's a mathematical term. 15xPie-Squared.

someone had to be first !

Mel Brooks also (allegedly) nicked that for Blazing Saddles in 1974.
