Another query on bans
In the past we used to get re-instated after 1, 3,6 months if we confessed, behaved and dis our time. Now it seems a ban on a thread is for ever.
I was banned from the Pacific thread earlier this year where I hadn't posted in 6 months - I never found out why (I understand why no-one wants to say) and I've read the rules etc but is it a POLICY that bans are forever? Or just lack of people to review the list??
PS I've read the Rules & Regs and I have sent in a query by PM as advised by the Mods on here but never get an answer

A “thread ban” used to be a toolkit option that is no longer available. If you have one it is likely now irreversible whereas it probably wasn’t when it was first applied. If you were banned from a “forum” that is still reversible.

I appear to have been banned from Jet Blast - I haven’t been able to access it for more than a month. I’ve sent the standard message asking why but haven’t had a reply. Is there anything more I can do?
My only suspicion is that I may have been ‘auto-banned’ after posting a message that included a couple of oversized photos rather than thumbnails. I couldn’t see how to edit out the photos from the message after realising my error. If this is the reason for the ban, it seems a rather draconian response to a genuine mistake.
