Excess Baggage
After reading a thread regarding Ryanair excess baggage charges, I was wondering are children entitled to full baggage allowances if they are over 5 eg paying for a seat of their own?

All airlines I handle offer the full baggage allowance to children. Basically, if you pay for a seat, you get the full allowance. A child is required to have their own seat if aged two or over, but of course full baggage allowances vary by airline.

Please do, however, check what Baggage Allowances you are entitled to as all carriers are not the same, and some destinations qualify for higher limits! On IATA airlines (most of the scheduled ones that existed before the introduction of "no-frills" carriers) an infant under 2 years old has no checked baggage allowance but is permitted one cabin bag (presumably for nappies etc)!
