Ryanair checked bags policy
Hi ....
I am flying to Barcelona with a non normal package size 100cms x 50cms x 20cms weight about 10 kg....I have booked a 20 kg checked bags.
The box contains vehicle part....no oil or electric etc.
Has anyone taken a similar item on Ryanair?
Many thanks!

This would be if I was flying with any airline, not just Ryanair....I would email them with a photo of the part and a photo of it wrapped or boxed with its weight clearly marked and ask them if there would be any issues. They would email back and if good to go, print that email off and take it with you when you check in. If the check in agent questions what is in the box, you can tell them, if they quibble over it, produce the email from Ryanair's head office confirming everything was fine and you shouldn't have any problems getting it on board the aircraft.
Having that confirmation in your hand in writing from the airline might potentially save you a lot of stress at check in....especially since they are not usually employed by the airline so might not take your word for it that everything is good to go, whereas armed with paperwork from the airline stating its all OK, they have no argument.

Provided, of course, that the airline bothers to reply to your email.
