Ryanair flight no longer listed

So we had a couple of Ryanair trips booked this year. Our June trip to Marseilles was cancelled and we are waiting (probably forever) for our refund. We have a second flight booked in September from STN to Dinard, France which has not been cancelled. However when I look on Ryanair's website I see that there are no flights on both our travel dates but you can book a flight on the days either side of our dates. My theory is that that Ryanair have re-jigged their timetables in the light of Covid but are not telling passengers that their flights have been cancelled so that they can hold on to the money for a bit longer.

Am I being overly sceptical or could there be another reason for this? We have accommodation and car hire arrangements which we would like to cancel at the earliest opportunity out of fairness to those parties but we can't really do anything until Ryanair confirm our flights are cancelled.

If the flight has sold out does it still appear? I don't know how the Ryanair system works.

Wonder if they'll wait for you to cancel (and face the charges....)

Well that's not going to happen. My guess they will wait until just before online check in opens which in this case is 12th July. I might try their phone line support, which I believe has you waiting several hours, and ask them why the flights are no longer listed on their website.

If the same flight number operates on the same day of other weeks in September before and after yours, then you can reasonably assume that yours will to.

There are only three flights per week each way on that route. It looks like they have moved each flight on by one day. Same for all of September.

What happens if you search for your booking using your booking ref on the RYR website?

The booking is still live on Ryanair's website when I log into "My Bookings" but there are no advertised flights on the days we are booked to travel.

Fairly similar thing here. Got flights booked Stansted - Barcelona and back in late August / early September. The flights are listed as "sold out"; the only tickets available are for the early and late departures - the two mid-day operations are listed as "sold out" every single day right up to October. My guess is that they are currently planning to cancel them nearer the time - or possibly reinstate them if things have improved. I don't believe they are *actually* sold out in the slightest.

So I braved the Ryanair call centre today (only 50 minutes on hold) to be told, in a nutshell, "Yes, it appears that we no longer fly to/from that destination on the days that you are booked to fly but your booking isn't cancelled until we say its cancelled, so tough titty".

W@nkers.

So we had a couple of Ryanair trips booked this year.
Firstly you have my deepest sympathy.

Our June trip to Marseilles was cancelled and we are waiting (probably forever) for our refund.
And this is why. This whole refund debacle with Valdermort Airlines should prove one big thing, people should never trust them with their money and travel plans ever again

So I braved the Ryanair call centre today (only 50 minutes on hold) to be told, in a nutshell, "Yes, it appears that we no longer fly to/from that destination on the days that you are booked to fly but your booking isn't cancelled until we say its cancelled, so tough titty".

W@nkers.
You know what to do next time, choose another airline/method of getting to your destination, there is always another way.

Vendee, I am a bit confused by your comment, I've just checked Ryanair on my phone and STN to DNR is 5 times a week in Sept.

and the same for the return:

out of interest what are your dates?

So looks like you are traveling on the 9th or 10th Sept.
10th Sept is sold out., which is why it is not showing.

To be fair to Ryanair, Airlines change dates and times frequently, Ive had Virgin and American really screw my holiday plans around before now, these things happen even in the best of times.

Ford Cortina, they are not sold out. I must admit that I can't explain how your phone app reckons there are flights on my travel days but even the Ryanair customer service guy admitted that the timetable didn't show the flights. I've just checked again on my PC and they still only fly 3 days a week on that route.

Sorry, I appreciate that you are trying to help.
I did also email Ryanair and I've just received a reply stating that my flights "have not been cancelled" but of course that just means they haven't decided to tell passengers that the flight is cancelled yet. If I have got this all wrong and Ryanair do run these flights, I will come back here and apologise for getting it wrong.

No worries, I understand your concerns. Over the last 10 years, I have flown eithet Ryanair, Jet2 and Easyjet on business several times every month. I always find with both Ryanair and Easjet, as long as you play the game you are fine, I have had very few issues and certainly never been charged extra.

hope it all works out for you.

I have got the opposite problem; an email saying that the flight times have changed but the original flight times are still on sale a week later.

Which turned out to be that they had reverted to the original flight times but not sent any emails to notify the revision.

FWIW in our case the outbound flight is now officially cancelled, but not (yet) the return.
