Exceptionally chilly seat?

On a recent overnight flight my companion, who was in a window seat, experienced a strong cold draught blowing from the side of the aircraft behind her for the entire journey. I’m assuming this was normal air conditioning (please correct me if I’m wrong), but I note that it isn’t mentioned as an issue on SeatGuru.

The plane was one of the Virgin Atlantic ex-Air Berlin fleet, G-VMNK “Daydream Believer”. This is an A330-200, SeatGuru Layout 1. The seat was 23K, by a starboard window, third from the front in the economy cabin. (I was in the adjoining aisle seat 23H and didn’t experience the problem).

Do many seats on the A330-200 (or other types indeed) have a similar issue? Or is it just a handful of seats? Is there any way of knowing this in advance so that in future we can book our seats accordingly?

Interesting because, I kid you not, my wife feels a draught on an aeroplane no matter what the type is or the seat she's in! We've swapped seats to no avail. She's either very unlucky or possibly extra sensitive to draughts.
