Delta airlines
Not for the first time I have been disappointed with Delta Air Lines. The latest was checking in for a flight with my son (in First Class) yesterday I found that the seat I had reserved for myself when making the booking had been re-assigned. Since we were both traveling on the same PNR and reserved (and were confirmed) the seats at the time of booking I found it somewhat surprising that only mine was re-assigned. There was no aircraft or configuration change involved. The Delta ground personnel (at Fort Lauderdale) I spoke to were disinterested, some to the verge of being rude. When the passenger who had been given my seat showed up I asked him if he had specifically asked for that seat. He replied in the negative and was quite happy to take my re-assigned window seat. All sorted, but WHY the problem in the first place?

I had some serious issues about a year ago on Delta when their system screwed up my booking big time
At LHR they fixed it but it was not a brilliant customer experience
The problem re-surfaced at ATL where the lady quickly summoned a supervisor who then summoned someone who appeared to be the Duty Manager. After about 10 minutes of poking around using three terminals they eventually got me on the flight
They couldn't have done more or been pleasanter but the Main Man said it shouldn't have been ABLE to happen - he'd take it up with the software people but that there are so many interconnected sytems these days that they were seeing more and more "impossible" software glitches
