Travel City Direct - back again ?
Advertisements in some of the papers today. Travel City Direct back in business from 5th Jan as part of Virgin Group !! ...... might look like good news
but what about all the poor folks that lost planned holidays when XL went bang .....
They have a website up and running already and brochures out supposedly soon

Whats your point Rufus????
You trying to say that Virgin should give the folks that lost their holiday with the failure of the XL group a free holiday?
Lets be honest, Virgin has just bought the name as Travel City was a good brand for Florida holidays. It is my understanding that TCD will be using Virgin Atlantic (and other carriers) scheduled flights to Orlando (Not even Sanford)
Virgin group will just be using the brand and possibly more importantly the mailing list of the old Travel City Direct.

My only point is that it all seems a bit quick after the collapse.
Not quite sure how folks will feel about seeing the name back in business so soon as folks who lost money with them - I lost a holiday - just think it's all very quick and people are still trying to get money back up to Sept 2009 !
Good luck to the new venture but I'd have thought the name would have been changed slightly to avoid possible back lash.
If the new venture has the same approach as the former Travelcity then it will be a re-established gold mine.
Oh and I managed to re book at my expense as soon as TCD went bang ..... now travelling with Virgin !
