Economy on upper deck?

Just got back from a trip NRT - SIN in JAL Economy... upper deck of the 747 on that route is economy also.
One hint: don't sit in the front 4 rows or so. The overhead luggage bins and the side bins next to A/K seats get much smaller at the front and your carry-on may not fit...
