Three abreast in a widebody?

Which airlines offer 3 abreast seating in widebody?

Omitting the 3 abreast herringbone seats (Virgin A340 and Air Canada 767), it seems that 3 abreast 1-1-1 layouts are used by JAL Skysleeper Solo first class on 777 and 747, and by Cathay Pacific New First Class on 777 and 747.

What are better first class seats - those of JAL or those of CX?

I happen to know that I'm booked on a 'new' 747 with CX LHR-HKG in F and that is two abreast. 3a and 3k are the seats. Never flown CX F before (see my other thread) so dunno anything about it. Don't recall 3 abreast seating anywhere.

Yes, because it is in the narrowing nosecone of the 747. 3A and 3K are actually the last 2 abreast row (and thus separated by the widest aisle distance). See a seatmap which is linked from http://www.cathaypacific.com/cpa/en_...leet/b_747_400

As you see, row 4 is 3 abreast because it has the solo seat 4D in the middle.

JAL 747 Skysleeper Solo likewise has one single seat in the middle of the nosecone, so 3 abreast.
