I did write to them asking for a refund after my eight hou dely but received a letter bck stating that as I had actually TAKEN the flight I wasn't entitled to a refund, although they offer me a £75 credit note ... which will probably just about cover one half of a return journey!

They suck ...

Some of us have agreed with you that FlyBE is perhaps an airline best to avoid (if you have any choice). But, to be perfectly frank with you FWOF, expecting a full refund after flying both legs is expecting a little too much, don't you think? I'd say that the 75 quid voucher was at least a reasonable gesture.

I based my refund request on the leaflet they gave me which stated that a delay of more than five hours entitled one to a refund. Further reading shows me that this is not always the case, in fact I think the new legislation states if you don't fly you are entitled to a refund.

A £75 refund may be better than nothing, but having lost a full days pay for missing work, coupled with the fact there was scant information at best, I would have hoped for more. Not only I but the others on my flight.

I was a regular with BA, BA Connect on the MAN-OSL and MAN-DUS flights and never really had a problem. Flights were cheap, reserved 12A on line, services generally reliable. Tried Flybe 3 times now and very disappointed. Lack of sufficient ground staff in once case (BHX-CDG) so we couldn't board the waiting aircraft and two other flights delayed by up to 2 hours due to technical issues. Despite the slagging that RYR receives from the people on this site I've never had any major problems with them in probably over a hundred flights in the last few years. I'm prepared to put up with an inferior service for a flight so cheap but the service never seems inferior!
