Probably as far forward (747) as possible to get away from galley noise. Not sure for a 777.
No.- 1 bag only. Not even a camera separate. Where have you been?

If you are on your own there is a single seat at the front and centre of First Class, no noise and no pax/CC walking past you. This seat is not popular with the Chinese as they think it looks like a funeral parlour!

On the 744 the seat at the very front is 1B, I was actually allocated this seat on one flight but I found it too claustrophobic, a very nice gentleman swapped seats with me. But I do know that other people love the privacy that that seat offers. I have also been seated a couple of times in row 4 and there is no galley noise, it is a very pleasant cabin.
