Anyone flown with Etihad recently

I've just been offered LGW-AUH-BKK in Pearl class for £1500.00 and was wondering is anyone has flown with them recently. I flew that route in May 2005 and was very pleased. Any updates would be great!

I have a number of friends who are senior crew with them and apparently the service is excellent, comparable to other middle eastern carriers. Most of the aircraft are lease ins so the seating may not be smashing but the brand new aircraft which are arriving all the time seem pretty swish!!!

Iberworld A330 has been the standard aircraft in use out of Gatwick for a month or more now.

The Iberworld A330's are on short-term lease until the new 777's arrive. The 777's were due last year but got delayed due to the strike at Boeing - Etihad estimating March as the aircraft change date.

I had a great time with them en-route to India in May - service comparable to Cathay etc.
