Aer Lingus A320s - Why don't they fill the front two rows?
I've noticed that in the all-economy Aer Lingus A320s, they leave the front two rows empty, only filling them if every other seat on the plane is taken.
Does anyone know why they'd do this?

Not always weight and balance - I've had to move 8 pax to the front 2 rows of an otherwise full EI A320 for weight and balance. Could have been due to having all the bins in the back though.
I think it might just be EI's preferred method of seat allocation - filling it up from the back to the front.
It also gives the FA's a bit of breathing space - I'm sure they appreciate the little bit of seperation they get from their customers!

I was using Fastpass at ORK on Tuesday morning and these rows showed up as occupied, even though there was nobody in them when I got on the plane and there was only 7 or 8 seats available in the rest of the plane.
