Monarch
Having " secret shopped" all the majors for a variety of clients I am now about to do the same on Monarchs longhaul product. LGW > MBA. A couple of my contacts have told me I need to have a very sharp pencil and a big notepad. Tight legroom, narrow seats, bad service. I have actually used Monarch on shorthaul on holidays and they have always been reasonable. Is the longhaul the nightmare I am told ?

It all depends on your expectations. If you paid 70 pounds for a return ticket and expect to be treated as a first class passenger with BA, yes than it will be a nightmare. However if you compare the price you paid for the ticket to the service you will receive than it will be a normal charter flight.
Unfortunately at the moment 90 per cent of the passengers expect to be treated like first class passengers and have seat that they can change into a bed. Even if they paid a very low price for a return flight.

FT I think you missed my point a bit. I'm not paying for the ticket, my clients do that. I probably fly as many sectors in a year as most crew do. I was just interested in the crew point of view. And yes, I have flown with all the majors in all classes and found that in almost all cases the Cabin Crew are excellent. Its what they have to work with that causes problems.

If you are a mystery shopper, surely it is your job to go on your flight with no pre conceived ideas and give an honest opinion of your own? I am puzzled as to why you are asking on here if this is the case?
