A report, particularly with links to his social media, showing the chaps antics, would have had CASA well forewarned, all they would have needed to do is check the records for his license details, instant proof of wrong doing.

Do they still have the one where you can dob in yourself for indiscretions and this indemnity?

I did one of those years ago where I thought someone was dead on the ground next to their vehicle. I did a low flyby to inspect, only to realise it was actually a Parks officer in the prone position with a rifle, scoping something up. Probably scared the crap out of him when I buzzed over. I assume he didn’t dob as I never heard anything.

You're probably referring to this scheme, but note: It's not an "indemnity".
