I've had friends die in plane crashes but it doesn't stop me from reading about them. |
WHOA - BIT 'OFF' BIT OFF-TOPIC.
The designation in the text books for that curious cloud is cumulo semi-erectus . The man to the side of the photo is examining his parts , therewith to have a slash and make a comparison. |

Once again not taken in Oz but I am sure you'd like these from my trip to Duxford and Old Warden last couple of weekends

After 59 years of never having had a flight in a Tiger Moth, my patience was finally rewarded last Saturday. Thanks so much to Dan Cross and the beautifully restored BGR at Luskintyre. :)

That's' my kind of airshow. Guess I'll have to start saving up to go to one of that quality..... Did that Seafire ground loop? Thanks, Stiky :ok: |

Acrosport II - I know him! He (it is a male, btw) regularly comes into my hangar for a hand-out.

Air France concord and two MIR in DRW around mid '80's. Concord overnighted on a world tour. Did two flyovers with the Mirages on the wings.

Memories, if not of that particular aircraft ..
The first tour was around mid 1972 (-02, as I recall) ... we all wagged aerody class to go out to SYD and watch it from the taxiway in front of the new international terminal which was under construction. The takeoff low frequency noise effects on the abdominal viscera was exceedingly unpleasant .. I certainly could understand how sound could be used as a torture tool. Aerodynamics lecturer, although a lovely bloke, was a through and through greenie ... was not impressed turning up to an empty lecture theatre ... |
Why have a 6-pack when you can have a NINE pack...

SWTT, very much like what the nine pack is bolted too. Familiar looking V-tail spotted lurking on the other side of the windshield.
