Will fix as soon as I get home.
Could take you a while if you are out the back of Bourke.

Just to round it out the first page, here's one of them retard vehicles with lots of spurious shake and blur to make it look fast:p

Proper Pacer, or convert?
Converted, they make a nice little machine

185skywagon 23rd Jan 2013 03:01

You have been through YBCV a few times, I think.

You have been through YBCV a few times, I think.
Yip, a while ago now though

RenegadeMan 23rd Jan 2013 03:08

The first page should also be blessed with an example of some amphibious marine based aviation. I perish the thought of only being able
to operate out of a strip!

Climbing out of West Angeles last Thursday PM, dodging thunderstorms. I kept shooting and got lucky. The F-100's windows take the edge off the optics a bit.

And why stop with photos... here's some amazing footage of the Mossie's last public appearance in NZ before being packed in containers and shipped to the US to it's owner...

I know that Retard Vehicle quite well, and its crazy owner! :}

Jack Ranga 23rd Jan 2013 08:47

Slackie, I pumped that YouTube footage via wifi through my new surround system, full noise:ouch: yeahhh! Only lost two vases & a coupla shot glasses off the shelf. The house nearly shook itself to pieces :D

4by2withears 23rd Jan 2013 08:58

Mr Cecil, I thought you were down in the weeds with the heavy metal. Instead you are swanning on the beach. Or this the long held dream of a FIFO spray tan franchise. Hope Nev is holding the fort for you. http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...lies/wink2.gif

Super Cecil 23rd Jan 2013 09:49

You know how hard life is Mr Withears :8

slackie 24th Jan 2013 19:31

Avid reader of the last thread but never got involved, figured now might be the time, some pictures of my new South Pacific home :ok:

First up an Active Volcano, tops out around 5000ft.
http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/5558/imag0347v.jpg

Then to really get things a bit hot, a Lava Lake...forgot my marshmallows...
http://img571.imageshack.us/img571/62/imag0321c.jpg

Apologies for the lack of detail, been taking these with my mobile phone, should really invest in a decent camera sometime!!

Jabawocky 25th Jan 2013 09:03

You flew that close

Ultralights 25th Jan 2013 09:17

i would too if i had the chance.. might need to hold me breath a bit though.

Ixixly 25th Jan 2013 09:49

Yeah, the lava one whilst looking impressive with the lakes there aren't a lot of explosions, or so i've been lead to believe!!! The other volcano not far away is the more active of the two!!

Plus we keep a good 1000' clearance from the top which is more likely around 2000' from the lava lakes itself!!

Jabawocky 25th Jan 2013 10:28

2000' yeah :ok:

not me :\

DH164 25th Jan 2013 10:41

Experiencing a good case of YOLO right there.

Ixixly 25th Jan 2013 10:43

Trust me, the first time you stand on the rim of an active volcano that actually has explosions....you'll cr*p your pants, but you'll also appreciate it a bit more, 2000' is a reasonable distance for most Volcanos that aren't violently errupting!! :}

mcgrath50 25th Jan 2013 11:58

Ixixly, that wasn't the pacific island job advertised on AFAP towards the end of last year was it? Looks like awesome fun!

Ixixly 25th Jan 2013 12:43

mcgrath50, possibly that job ;)
