Wow Ultralights, those are spectacular

Jack Ranga 20th Jan 2014 10:39

That top photo is beautiful, postcard stuff :ok:

VH-XXX 20th Jan 2014 11:00

Nice work Ultralights. The only thing I can suggest to make it better for next time is to try and get the same pics on NYE when the fireworks are happening :-)

I doubt you would get a clearance coinciding with ignition time.

Ultralights 20th Jan 2014 21:17

we had planned a new years eve flight, and yes, you can orbit the harbour at 2100ft as the fireworks are going off, we did that on 2012 NYE, sadly, didnt have a quality lens that timeso pics are a bit blurry.
As for the NYE just passed, we had a plan in the system, but broken cloud at 2300ft coming in at 10pm ruined that flight.:{

Wow. Bloody awesome. :D

So when are you offering tours that are heavily discounted for pprune posters? ;)

one of my favourite shots of the night, sadly, every seat is taken with friends well before new years eve.

this is one of the better shots of NYE 2012

Interesting video on youtube here.

They are headed to the Bahamas to check out a small yacht wreck, however it features some good seaplane action as well as an aviation related surprise at the 9 minute mark.

Easy one, but what airport is the Caravan at?

Capt Fathom 22nd Jan 2014 08:46

In front of Christo's hangar!

Piano Man 22nd Jan 2014 09:56

Yes Capt Fathom! Great hint! :ok:

And heading home:

Would this be Mackay?

Piano Man 22nd Jan 2014 10:35

Told you it was an easy one! :ok:

VH-XXX 23rd Jan 2014 02:15

I certainly hope the suction mount is sucking hard !

I assume this is a jump ship and if it fell off perhaps someone can go after it!

Jack Ranga 23rd Jan 2014 03:58

Should see my mounts X, permanent & hard wired. No such thing as a flat battery on the 10 mate :ok:

Ultralights 23rd Jan 2014 05:13

i dont see a suction cup mount anywhere...... i see a mount bonded to the wing, as i have all over my aircraft.. far stronger than the suction..

VH-XXX 23rd Jan 2014 05:22

Thanks Ultraights, now you've spoilt all those people chiming in saying how it will fall off when they get to 8,000ft :ouch:

Capt Fathom 23rd Jan 2014 10:23

That photo taken from the rear door of a Seneca V ... in Brazil?

Probably not a Jump Ship. More likely a Photo Ship. :ok:

TOUCH-AND-GO 23rd Jan 2014 12:01

What is that on the leading edge of the aircraft.?

Thanks, T&G.

Jamair 24th Jan 2014 06:23
