Yeah my i Mac running Lion starts up with Skype, Calendar, Email and i Tunes maximized
on the screen and I can't workout how to stop this.......minor annoyance. |
I find that if I shut my iMac down with programs running, when restarted, the same programs will open. If I close the programs before shutting down, they don't open when the computer starts.

Thanks Lancair and rioncentu, confirmed on iPad 1 with iOS 5 only.
It seems to be fixed in 2.5 (by virtue of a changed memory management model), but let me see if I can get a 2.0.2 out with this specific fix ASAP. Bas. |
I'll give it a try. I want these programs to start minimized in the tray and not Maximized on screen.
Tks. |
Due to the way that the iOS5 deletes some data, but retains other bits, all your problems can be fixed by deleting & reinstalling the apps.
This should only be a problem once, as once you have iOS5, future updates are done without having to use iTunes backups etc. For iOS5+ you will just be able to go into your iPad's Settings menu & click "update" and it will do it. |
Tried that Claret, no cigar :ugh:

I managed to download all the maps tonight. Did you issue that bug fix by "magic" as I didn't see an update to download  I did get some error messages with some maps but they all seem to be there now. |

I didn't do anything !
Magic !! |
That was the fix for Jepp mobile as well.
:) |
Baswell, Im running iPad2 and iOS5, not iPad1 as you said above.
Still no joy here. Lancair |
Can you send me a screenshot of what your settings screen looks like? Hold down the power (top) and home buttons at the same time. The screen will flash and a screenshot will be in the Photos app, from where you can email it to [email protected].
Thanks, Bas. |

Whenever I start my macbook pro calendar, word, my day, e-mail and iTunes opens, it's really starting to piss me off. This was after updating to Lion. I actually like the feature, as I have my MBP set up in a certain way with multiple desktops. Same with the Mac Mini media server with TV tuner, iTunes etc all running. If there's a power outage, it turns on again as it was left. |
It certainly seems to 'crash' a bit more under IOS 5. I had a couple of random events the other day where the plotted position dropped off the WAC even though the bluetooth GPS had a signal and the iPad showed the GPS as 'paired'. Stayed off for about 5 minutes. Happened a couple of times CNS-SYD.

Keg...... So, how'd ya find Syd without it!!
|
F/O was driving! :E :ok:
|
I'm just wondering how long it will be before NAIPS has a box to tick for Ipad and Ozrunways along with the usual adf/vor.gnss boxes.
|
Nothing like a good F/O, a good one can be handy on the overnights buying the drinks and fetching the girls too!!:)
|
Thanks Compressor, I'll get onto it, new to mac and bloody confusing sometimes :}
|
Folks,
Having just started with a clean install of iOS5, all the OzRunways data has loaded just fine. I have paired the iPad2 with a Dual GPS, seems to work very well, finding the real battery life of the Dual batteries will be interesting, can anybody comment? I find the whole OzRunways package impressive, the price is s winner, support with a minor learning curve issue was prompt and much appreciated. Tootle pip!! |
