How many do you wear??? 2 for instructor or commercial? What are 3 and what are four??? I think you hear a lot of interpretation depending on where you are? But what’s the deal???:eek::ugh:
Presently (when on tour) none. :E
And for part 2... generally (in GA land) 2 bars - Gr 2/3 instructor or general SE charter 3 bars - Gr1 instructor or bigger charter capt (eg RFDS etc) 4 bars - CFI/CP I remember a ferry captain on a b200 that arrived at our hangar in CNS saying in a loud texan drawl, "How come you pilots all wear three bars - you're all captains after all??". |
woohoo...... I can wear four. I'll have to sew em on me T shirt though. should look good down the aero club. :E:}
..... what ..... not 4 bars on the silk pajamas?:eek:
All the guys at my company take 'em off when we go to the coffee shop anyway:O
You wear however many your company gives you and tells you to wear.
How many do you wear??? |
FOUR!!!!! and I blind everyone on the ramp when I swagger past :} Then I strap myself to my 172S no less and terrorise the training area with my white silk scarf out the window and slapping the fuselage.
It doesn't matter how many you're wearing, as long as you take them off when you go down to the greasy spoon/coffee place for lunch and to/from work j3 |
But if you wear them into Macca's they normally give you a discount!
That's because they think you're a bus driver...
Sheesh, dont forget a cocked hat and ceremonial sword :* http://www.augk18.dsl.pipex.com/Smileys/masturbate.gif

far to many stairs for me to wear em in the dero anyway........ you know me and stairs. :} |
It doesn't matter how many you're wearing, as long as you take them off when you go ...to/from work. Sometimes I think we're way too precious about the uniform...and that means both ways. Some are precious because they're wearing it all the time. Others are precious because they go to inordinate and futile lengths to not be seen wearing any paraphernalia related to aviation. Personally I've just never invested that much energy as to give a stuff either way. Today's the exception I guess. |
