Desmo,
Someone has sent me that in an email a while back....... was that you? J:ok: |
Oh My...well Hello
And If Anyone Noticed That They're 40 Feet Low Then **cough Cough** You Are Very Ah Observant |
I was told the C208 had long legs!
|
Ya gotta hand it to Cessna - they have really thought of everything with the C208!
I particularly like the strategically positioned fire-extinguisher - just in case that particular area becomes a bit of a "hot spot"! Dr :8 |
I never realised the 208 had such a TITilating instrument panel...is she the TITular PIC...so that would be a box office?
Better:) |
I was told the C208 had long legs! |
He has been in school all day......Take it easy on the old fella!
His head hurts http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/c...nfused0018.gif |

Anyway..I have no idea of which you speak;) |
Heh Chuckles! The thought of a "hot spot" shattered ya concentration, didn't it!
Dr :8 |
But would it be a G spot in a heavy landing...is that a fire extinguisher or are you just happy to see me...does that extinguisher come with its own batteries?
If I read every post on Pprune I'd have ended my days sat in a hot bath with a sharp razor blade years ago:suspect: |

Bikes and Planes.
|
ah bob you just made my day great photo:ok:...... wonder how the bike is on fuel :8
|
If I am correct the engine is an Aussie home grown Rotec radial made in Melbourne for the recreational aviation market. They are a success story overseas and at home. Seven cylinder is 110 HP and 9 cylinder 150 HP.
|
Fuel flow? Who cares!:ok:
|
I usually fly my V35B with full fuel and one-up. At that loading is will consistently do 10,000 in 10 min at 2500/25" and 110 IAS. At gross TOW it takes about 12 min |
Watts Bridge today....

At gross TOW it takes about 12 min Hey Doc, How would the strutless compare? The similarly powered C210 that I have most recently flown is not in the hunt! The IO550 powered, Scimitar prop'd, C210 that I ran in a couple of months ago goes up pretty well! Dr :8 |

Who cares about Global Warming, these bikes are good for the soul.
|
Check out the ground clearance and the back wheel. Wonder what it sounds like.
|
It is a round engine must sound Awesome

This is what you get with 2 cylinders of a radial, 350 HP and speed limited to 150 mph. Must class as the ugliest bike ever. |
how do you blokes get the WX man to put on such lovely wx?
We can only dream of such an event during winter down here in 'Mexico' !:bored: CW |
2 cylinders out of 9 , I bet the vibration generated would be awesome, make even Moto Guzzi seem smooth is my guess, no need for gearbox the thing would hop forward !!!!!!
|
Capt Wally;
I am thinking of following the weather and selling up. Move to Tas for summer and Qld for winter. I can make myself a problem for the kids on the drive up and back. The Riverina is too cold in winter and too hot in summer. Jabawocky; That's a nice Percival Gull in the photo's. Is it a Challinor restoration? |
No you mexicans need to stay right where you are, you would not cope with the stress of living up here:E
No idea Bob, I took the pic, and was then distracted by someone I knew.... never went over to find out. J:ok: |
That's a nice Percival Gull in the photo's. Dr :8 |
From memory the Proctor was an evolutionary wartime variant of the Gull. Kingsford Smith flew a Gull somewhere. Also I think the Gull had a Gipsy 6 of 200 HP and the Proctor a Gipsy Queen of 210 HP.
I think it was Joe Palmer who took me for a ride in a Proctor when I was a kid. He also owned a Staggerwing Beech which I also had a ride in.:) |
Posting PDF
I have some photos on a pdf file that I would like to post. Does anyone know how I can do that? The usual photobucket way won't work...
|
PM me, send them to my email then I'll post them here for you.

Latest trip photos
After my last trip it took about 10 seconds for the people of PPRuNe to ID all the photos. I hope these from my most recent travels might prove a bit harder.
Cheers, Nivo http://www.mirani.com.au/images/Aviation/IMG_8412.JPG http://www.mirani.com.au/images/Aviation/IMG_8493.JPG |
Methinks not in Oz :bored:
You could have given us an intermediate level to try first!:} J |
East Timor?...can't remember the names of the two airports and only been to one and that was at night.
|
The main airport in East Timor is at Dili (Comoro), 1850m of undulating ashpalt. The alternate, which is now non operational is Baucau (Cakung), 2500m of concrete.
Baucau was where TAA used to operate a F-27 Friendship service from Darwin prior to 1975. It has been suggested that Baucau could have been another Bali if circumstances had been different |
Neither of those two photos are Dili International or Baucau though.
