Jamair,

Funny you should "catch these guys doing what they do" huh. That last photo wouldnt have a dead kangaroo on the side of the runway now would it?

Jamair 13th Nov 2012 09:44

Dunno wot yer on about!!

Sounds like yous two have spent too much time in front of those TV-controlled wizz-bangs drinkin caramel lattes from the trolley-dolly while goin ILS to ILS and needin counselling every time you see a yellow patch on the radar. Time to get back to where the man-work is at! ;)

Jabawocky 13th Nov 2012 10:41

Hey Jamjar and TKFS

When you can get yourselves in BN at the same time we should go have a steak and coldie at the Ck.

Heck I think TKFS is a dad x 2 since I saw him last :ooh:

morno 14th Nov 2012 06:16

VH-XXX 14th Nov 2012 10:47

This was on the news tonight...

Capt Fathom 14th Nov 2012 10:59

Yep. It's been on Pprune since the 12th Nov.

The networks have finally caught up!

The news networks don't do their own research anymore. They just scour the net and then copy and paste! Pathetic! :ugh:

Despot 78 17th Nov 2012 08:41

Brian Johnson?

You guys know more about me than I do.....
Yes, I have moved from 767 to Perth base 737.

Despot 78,
On 24 Jan 1980 you took me along for an engine air test in "Grumpy Monkey" Mirage A3-116. That remains the most exciting hour of my life. We flew through the speed of sound high level and then a bit of low level hooning around Bulahdelah and Myall Lakes. Fantastic!!! My Machbuster Certificate is hanging on my office wall.
A3-116's fin still exists at the Air Cadets HQ at Coffs Harbour airport. Whenever I travel through there I pay it a visit.

Cheers, Despot 20. (Us RadTechs used our tooltag numbers when doing radio checks.)

(Sorry guys if this is perceived as thread drift.)

Good to see some pics of Ledsled's era of aviation.

VH-XXX 23rd Nov 2012 09:56

Touche!! .... A-men to that.

flynverted 23rd Nov 2012 10:02

Some nice vintage stuff there, but crammed into a small hangar, hard to take decent pics.

gerry111 23rd Nov 2012 13:10

Cpt Bloggs,

Sadly, even some of the newer metal Leadsled flew commercially are now parked at Victorville CA. Ie B747 438s.

I think that part of Leadsled's long life can be put down to a healthy diet supplement, the consumption of Coopers Pale Ale.

Works for me too.

Ultralights 26th Nov 2012 11:17

yep, the Mrs was flying the ikea shed in the last pics, myself in the Robin with instructor on a check flight, first pics i was in the ikea shed and the Mrs in the Robin returning from her first aerobatic competition flight.

now just have to save up for tailwheel, Pitts then extra endo... might take a while after the last few months..no chrissy presents from us this year.

Also learnt the Savannah has quite large wake vortex's off those wingtips.. you certainly knew it when you hit them. moved the robin around quite a bit.

Jabawocky 26th Nov 2012 11:20

Glad to see you enjoying the journey.

And doing it it professionally.

UL you are a classic example of what is good in GA. :ok:

gerry111 27th Nov 2012 09:58

Ultra, a nice photo of Broken Bay, Barrenjoey and Lion Island. Good to see a few boaties having fun down there too. I really enjoy doing that there also, out of Cottage Point or Refuge Bay. (Lots cheaper fun than in my mate's V35!) But flying in the Bo is priceless!

Clinton McKenzie 28th Nov 2012 08:40

Dodgy blokes and a dodgy aircraft ...

Jabawocky 28th Nov 2012 09:08

Aircraft is probably less dodgey than the blokes involved.....if I were to guess! :}
