Why does he look so skeptical ?
Some fool let the Chuckler loose in a Tiger! Did you see the windsock?

Did anyone ask him what he really thinks of Tigers ?
No! Old Pommy crap - but quite good fun once you get used to them!

Did he have a doctor's certifcate for a sickie?
The Dr has no need of a certificate!

haughtney1 25th Nov 2009 12:04

Jeez Chuck is spending more time in the Tiger..than he is lavishing TLC on the Bo :}

Correct..........we may be a bunch of w@nkers farting about with a lovely Moth...but we aint that bad yet!

Haughtney......yes after the rebuild of the Moth, it needed to be retrained in all facets of the flight envelope.....Chuckles is giving it a Degree course! :}

I've got the full body pic in my files if anyone really wants to see it. I just had this screen crop handy as I used it to settle an argument as to whether penguins had knees!!

......yes after the rebuild of the Moth, it needed to be retrained in all facets of the flight envelope.....Chuckles is giving it a Degree course!
So what is the tally for 2009 Chuckles?

PA28 in the UK
C185 in NZ
C195 and Stearman in WA
Retard Vehicle-10 at Caboolture
DH82 and C310 at Redcliffe
BE35 anytime you can't find a better offer!
Oh yes, and occassionally the Big Boeing when you actually do some work!

Dr :8

PS: I thought long haul airline pilots had a woman in every port, NOT an aeroplane!

rioncentu 26th Nov 2009 05:03

Notmyc150v2

That is the Peanut at a CQ Coastal Holiday destination who used to do joyflight Aeros in a C172 and then allow the vids to be posted on youtube.

Not real bright. I wonder what CASA would think of charter aeros in a 172?

Now has a Fuji as I suspect may have had issues with said regulator.....

OZBUSDRIVER 26th Nov 2009 05:15

Key Jaba, the last one is a regulation left base for 07 just short of Decrepid Bay....or is it now called Moreton Downs:}

Loik it...nice and close...:}:ok:

notmyC150v2 26th Nov 2009 05:41

I thought that may be the case. I was just laughing with some colleagues at the stupidity of someone doing aeros in a 172 and then posting the genius activity on the net.

Also looked to me like the seat belt requirements were more of a suggestion than a rule...

rioncentu 26th Nov 2009 06:07

And posting enough shots of your mug to get good and properly in strife.

I think it's the beckpeckers who post the footage to be honest. Even more reason to do it by the book if you know someone ELSE has the camera !!

GOTO utube and search for the CQ Holiday Destination (Between Gladstone & Bundaberg) and there is plenty of good gear on there of the flights. All sorts of fun in a 172...........

Jabawocky 26th Nov 2009 06:46

OZBUS

Well its a very wide base.....and heading more 020....

If the engine quite I dont think we would have made YRED.....end of YCAB 30 may have been closer....but not in reach. The Poo farm though was often in view, every roll or loop...... :uhoh:

J:ok:

Chimbu chuckles 26th Nov 2009 09:24

Well Forky - so many aeroplanes, so little time. With any luck I will add Lockheed 12a and Mooney to that list before the arse falls out of 2009.

WTF use is a women in every port?

After a stressful day today I dragged the Moth out and got in 30 minutes of aeros between 1745 and 1820 - was just lovely being up alone for a change - got a half decent reverse cuban out of her - I say half decent because the last half was not quite as nice as the first half - did about 10 loops and hit my wake on 9 - the barrel rolls need work though:ugh:

it's either a salute,

or he's the one taking the photo..
Might be Jaba scratching his head, after we strapped Jaba jnr into the front seat, thinking "This can only end in tears" or "its all good fun until someone loses an eye!"

Oh and I now have access to a mid 50s C180 in AKL to play with on layovers:ok:

And I think Oz is correct - that looks like left base to the grass at YRED in the last pic - always keep in tight in a Tiger - they glide like a house brick - in fact its a good idea to carry 1/2 a house brick when flying a Tiger - engine fails throw brick overboard then follow. When you stop get out and run lest said brick smite thee mightily on the head.

Jabawocky 26th Nov 2009 11:38

..................and now jaba Jnr wants a Tiger........seems antique aero's are way cooler than anything his mates do on weekends :ok:

tinpis 26th Nov 2009 18:33

Can photos be resized on the pprune server? Anyone know how?

Chucky, you would'a enjoyed the Tiger Club week end at Taumarunui
The locals are so...er..natural and look at the wonders sheep **** does for the grass.
Feeney doesn't look as dangerous as he once was but looks can be deceiving..:hmm::rolleyes:
I would even cross the pond meself for a nice quiet show like that :ok:

After all these years of flying in to and out of YMMB, I finally get to see the threshold of runway 22 .. albeit from 1500 ft AAL. :E

http://i48.tinypic.com/2sb382d.jpg

Has anyone ever used runway 22/04 at YMMB?

ForkTailedDrKiller 28th Nov 2009 12:52

Where is?

Interesting place to visit. I never knew it was there until recently.

Dr :8

PS: I suggest that any colour blind "heavy metal" flying Continental 767 FO types like WannabeQF should push the ignore button!

Reminds me of Kilcoy, is it?

Mr. Hat 28th Nov 2009 21:56

Forkie I love your videos mate. It looks like you spend your time visiting great palces and seeing the countryside. Great lifestyle indeed. How do you plan your trips? Do you know people at each place? The adventure!

ForkTailedDrKiller 28th Nov 2009 23:18

Hat

I am indeed fortunate that I get to fly for work. The pics and videos come from a mixture of work, play, and play when fortuitously in the general area for work. We planned Temora earlier in the year, and our end of year fly-in to somewhere has become a calender fixture, but most are just opportunistic.

Kilcoy came about cause I and the FTDK were in town for work that ran over a weekend. Chuckles was in town working on his Bo, and trying to settle his Bonanza withdrawal symptoms by slumming it in a Tiger, and Jaba ........ well Jaba was just being Jaba!

Jaba needed to go to Kilcoy to help out a fellow Retard Vehicle owner fit turbo gammis, I had a Saturday to kill, and Chuckles is just an aeroplane tart! He will jump at the chance to fly anything.

So off we went. 10 min Redcliffe to Kilcoy. Beautiful spot for a strip - with an interesting up hill runway. The PIC's approach (not mentioning any names) and landing was a mixture of B767 approach profile and Bonanza flare, finished off with a Tiger style "3-pointer"!

Kilcoy is a friendly place with a bunch of interesting aeroplanes. C195, Gypsy Moth, Waco (cabin biplane), Fleet, Harvard, to name just a few.. Chuckles was like a kid in a candy store!

Not much in the way of refreshments at Kilcoy so we hopped over to Kingaroy (17 min) where we had a superb lunch at the restaurant off the end of Rwy 34.

All up YRED-YKCY-YKRY-YRED was an hour in the Bo - and a great day was had by all.

Holding for storms to pass

What do you do when storms are hanging around and you need to hold for a bit.....to prevent boredom........

And just because you can........ dead stick practise!

Towering Q 29th Nov 2009 23:24

Hey Jaba, was that camera shake at 1:03 or did you get a little too close?

Jabawocky 30th Nov 2009 00:09

No not that close at all actually, but yes it looks that way! And we were not going any closer either!:uhoh:

I have a feeling that we hit our own wake....... :E

I did not notice it at the time but I think it was a combination of some natural weather influences and not holding the camera properly. I do not have the patented ForkMount, however the Jabamount was in the camera bag, if Chimbu Warrior was on the ball in the back seat he would have passed it up front ;).
