Yep got the job ... off to Manchester this very afternoon to start the ground course I've been on the payroll for a couple of weeks but there was a double up with sim bookings, so I couldn't start the type rating any sooner. Hence I've had to sit about in this northern heat wave getting paid to sit in the sun and drink gin & tonic for a few days

Not a bad move at all, considering ... $NZ70,000 basic salary for a 19 seat turboprop FO aint too shabby compared to what the boys are on back home ... and they reckon they want me to get my command within a year (so they can fling another $50 grand at me)!

And I must say ... after 8 long years, I will miss kiwi GA, about as much as a dose of syphilis

For those that didn't get in, try Air Nelson.
They have lost quite a few lately and with some new expansion early next year they will be looking for some new drivers.
Minimums
1500 TT
500 multi

Air Nelson

CT7,

Rang Air NSN the other week, apparantly still some ex-contract pilots in the queue and not anticipated to clear those for a while.

Was especially interested in the Napier base rumour going around, was told it was just being bandied around and definitely nothing concrete as yet. But did notice the Air NSN newsletter from the Korunet had it in B&W asking for registration of interest should the decision be made to re-open Napier.
