Evans VP1 or VP2 (or similar!)

Anyone out there had experience of building or flying any of the VW pwered aircraft like the VP1 or 2, or any of the other basic, easy to build types? I would value comments re. doing this (as a cheap means of keeping current and building hours)

Take a bible CB.

Just joking, micros and home jobs are good fun but you can't log the hours towards a higher licence (catch 22).
