Who's Flying The Jumper Dumper???

Residing in the beautiful Blue Mountains of Sydney's west, I see and hear some nice machinery buzzing around the blue stuff...
However recently noted the "whine" of what sounds to be a large twin (Maybe PA31) orbiting to altitude then dumping jumpers overhead the Penrith Lakes scheme, anyone have any info on this op?? Who runs it? Who flies it????

Its a Navajo..... I was told he would be operating it out of Hoxton park and jumping over the Penrith area, not to sure of the exact location of the DZ. He also offers very reasonable pricing on PA31 endorsments.

Why would you consider going to Sydney for a PA 31 endorsement? You are in Melbourne, there are many operators there who will do an excellent job of endorsing you on that type.

Or is your idea of reasonable incompatible with with the realistic expectations of the aircraft operator?

It's not always about the money guys........

I always thought it was turbines that "whined" - to date I've not heard a piston "whine". Oh, hang on - their drivers frequently do!

375 What sort of experience they require if you know by any chance?? Were you working for them when they were doing the runs over the lakes?? Are they the jumpers that do that "new form of Skydiving" where they try and land on some blue pad between flags on the shore of the lakes???

Arjuna sorry you got the wrong end of the stick. I said "worked them" as in what a cattle dog would do... otherwise: ATC. One rumour I heard involved the jumpers wearing skis but that may have been a windup. The operator has certainly got very good knowledge of the edge of the mil ctr at Penrith.
