Gotta agree with Left Handed Rock thrower..
The attitude of many pilots is very poor.
Unfortunately for the Commerical pilot there is nothing taught about Commercial Acumen.......Nor do most show any inclination to learn.
I have a background in business and looking at the numbers aint a pleasant thing. Take no risk put the money in the back and earn 5%....Put it into aviation....hmmmmmm
Gimme Gimme Gimme.........
Its rife in the industry pilots think the are owed a living, what do they owe the guy who takes a chance with the highly experienced 250 hour pilot? Not much.......
nor is it apparent to theses highly experienced individuals that a company pays so many add on costs when employing in the form of PAYROLL TAX, SUPER, STAT CHARGES ETC. that to employ costs a hell of a lot more than what the pilot gets paid...
Then again pilots are there to fly! The object in my book is do it well enough so that tomorrow there is enough in the kitty to come back and do it again!
DO ANY OF THESE GUYS REMEMBER HOW MUCH IT COST TO HIRE A C152 FOR AN HOUR? Maybe before whinging they could sum the hourly rate of pay to the hire cost to see how much benefit they are actually getting from an hour of paid flying?
I think most would not!
And I so advise
