Re previous post . The President laid on a flight for all the striking pilots to return to Nauru from Melbourne to negotiate new terms but this was refused on the advice of the then AFAP. Pity because the problem could have been solved to the satisfaction on both sides.

"In 1988, a strike by Air Nauru pilots for better pay and safety conditions took place" - from your book.
"I was one of the non-strikers and never regretted it."
And if the pilots on strike had returned to Nauru "the problem could have been solved to the satisfaction on both sides"
Is it then the case that you'd have benefited from the improved pay and conditions without having supported those trying to better things?
"I left for a better job a few months later" Why?

And the AFAP involvement you mention is pure fantasy. The AFAP did not dictate, direct or involve themselves in any shape or form except tp provide the use of their offices, moral support and secretarial facilities as they would do for any IFALPA member. The NAPA were grateful to the AFAP but never allowed them to run the dispute.

Why couldn't new terms be negotiated while the pilots were in Melbourne, they tried for four weeks. Anyway, as you well know, the strike was not about "new terms" or even the appalling safety issues in the airline at that stage. And the AFAP involvement you mention is pure fantasy. If they are advertising, why don't you apply, have an interview and find out directly?
Or, at least ring HR etc and ask directly about the T&C's but make sure you get the name right
You don't seem to be getting far here.

Goodness me, I ask a straightforward question and I’m accused of being condescending. Wtiwiw has understood my intent.
I had to look it up to see if it was even remotely appropriate:
condescending
adjective
having or showing an attitude of patronising superiority.
Can’t see how that fits.
Sensodyne might help.
