Air Sanga PNG - Beech 1900 returning to Africa

Departed Port Moresby is Air Sanga Beech 1900. was briefly P2-ASA according to ADSB but has now reverted back to ZS-SEM

This leaves Air Sanga with one Twin Otter flyable and two other crashed aircraft, Twin Otter and PACX750.

Expensive exercise to import the aircraft and get the crews PNG licenced, together with the airworthiness costs associated with the CofA and import duty, for less than 6 months of operation on the PNG register.

Foreign registered aircraft can be operated for up to 6 months under a PNG AOC. The aircraft was only recently registered in PNG.

At least the TCAS RAs will stop now!
Go anywhere near the aircraft en route and it would trigger a RA, probably because it hasn’t got an autopilot and the thing would wander all over the sky - and it certainly wasn’t the pilot’s fault.

See the bent up Otter outside the Hevilift hangar in Hagen awaiting the healing process.

The rumour at the Aviat last night was flight crews are overdue their salary by over a month. Some not paid since late August
