Whyalla Airlines crash - 20 years ago today. Remembering all those who lost their lives.

Yes it does. I can still remember getting the phone call from a friend telling me what had happened. It all seemed so surreal.

Where do those years get away to these days,
There could be a book on that accident and I dont think our "regulator" would shown to be a bright shining light of wisdom regarding air safety. Either then ...or in many other instances.

DF, I am hazy on the details but I remember talking to a denizen of the Flinders Ranges some years later who was very critical of the report. Lean of peak operations had been blamed for the crash I think.

The final accident report is on the ATSB website. A supplementary report was also published following the Coronial report.
