Jetstar Japan application process and info

Hi

I have the basic terms and conditions from a recruiter.

Does anyone have any recent info on the application process what's involved and timelines etc?

I hear it all starts with a video interview. What's involved and what do they typically ask?

How long does Jetstar typically take from video interview to hiring or rejection?

many thanks.

I have also heard that upgrades are a little faster there than at other companies, like Air Japan. Any info on how long the wait might be for a command seat?

Hello

I have received an invitation for the digital interview on the 27th of DEC.
They give u 7 days to complete it.

It’s a basic digital interview with same basic questions like why u want to join jetstar and what do u know about the company etc.

I did it on the last of the 7 days period which is today , but will update it u in case they replied

A recent add mentioned that after joining one of the Jetstar company’s the opportunity would be available to transfer to Australia, NZ, Singapore, Vietnam etc was under the impression that movement from Australia is one way only?

You may be able to transfer between overseas Jetstar entities. Despite what JQ may tell you to reel you in I don’t believe anyone has ever transferred onto the Australian EBA from an overseas entity

The chances of transferring onto the Australian EBA would be non existent. Even if you were able to, your join date at Jetstar Japan wouldn’t transfer onto the EBA seniority list and you would have to join at the bottom. There are Jetstar NZ pilots who can’t even transfer onto the bottom of the EBA so it would be extremely unlikely that you could do it from another Jetstar entity

HR will give you all information including sim-profile when interview date is confirmed, but check airman will not use the sim-profile. V1cut some fire after airborne followed by visual approach. Interview were typical HR interview. (Why Jetstar Japan..... e.t.c.)

Maybe you should check about Japanese medical check.

Hi Samurai,

Namashkaar!!

Thanks for your response.

Will the sim for NTR applicants also be on the 320?

Is it ok if I PM for more details?

Thanks

I believe that sim will conduct on B737 sim in Haneda, Tokyo for NTR FO, but A320 sim in Ginpo, Seoul for TR FO.

No problem for PM.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of discussion around Jetstar Japan. Does anyone have any updated info about working there? I have the basics of pay etc.

Can you use your holidays toward extending the 10 days off?

I'm hearing a 3.5 year upgrade for FO's. There was some discussion earlier about expats not being eligible for command. What is the latest here?

What does a typical month look like schedule wise? How many layovers?

Is there a standby/reserve system? How many hours between getting the call to being required to show up at the gate?

Anything else someone should know?
