My Facebook feed says CAE are looking for instructors:

"... Our business is growing ... and the opening of a new base is on the horizon."

You mean CAE have taken over the Mangalore school or CAE have picked up the Chinese contract?

What would be the new base for CAE then, back to Bankstown?

Since CAE and MFTA both have used King Airs for airline training it seemed like an obvious option?

Fairly public knowledge is that CAE are working towards a satellite base at Tamworth, filling the gap that the RAAF will be leaving.

The rumoured entity / individual looking at taking MFTA from the gutter to the stars was already involved with them, but as an outsider.

My money is on Oxford (CAE). Typically they won't confirm anything until it is in place, as any business should.
That said, I have no inside info and it is just my guess, but the timing seems significant. It could also be a coincidence with an unknown party moving in. We will wait and see I guess.

A highly competent, personable, and ethical CEO with very significant resources at his disposal, running that place with an equally competent, personable and Ethical HOO. The opportunity to pick and choose the most professional of the "old team" that you wish to retain. With the massive backlog of China Southern Cadets due to the shutdown of both WA Operations. With a new Chinese 141 Approval issued to the mystery operator right here in Victoria. With CASA on board and supporting the process get a safe operation up and running. A win all around. Great for Industry, Victoria, and most importantly. Instructors!

Excellent news!

Not CAE.

You know. Whatever is getting the same mail Ive been getting...

My sources say the individual/business moving in is vastly experienced and should be a good fit with knowledge of the operation and whats required to turn things around.

A lot of good people have been in a very sticky situation because of things out of their control. Lets hope the reset button means a little more security overall.
