Fiji Airways Second Officer Recruitment

Does anyone know if theres been an A330 SO recruitment this year or if one is planned for the future?

They were accepting applications on their website but it seems to have been taken down.

Far as I understand they recruited 20 last year (2 went on to the 737), of these only 10 have gone for their type courses so far, so seems like it will be a while before the next intake if any !

Rumour has it that the SO program isn't going so well. Unlike the successful SO programs run by other Airlines, FJ doesn't have their own sims.

In addition, CAAFI isn't too keen on letting these kids into the right seat with only the 250hrs of TT they have.

They pushed the PR on this pretty hard (FJ "doing its part to upskill local kids to replace expats") so someone has to take the fall if they publicly admit that they didn't think it through.
