C210 in Wagga

EGW a C210 had a gear failure at YSWG. Emergency service were called out and the pilot circled for a while, then did a great gear up landing. All safe. Hats off to the pilot.

Can you tell from the photos or video that the engine wasn't shutdown prior to touchdown?

I reckon the sound that you hear on the video actually comes from the diesel engine of a fire truck adjacent to the camera.

Have another listen perhaps?

A clue is the lack of 'Doppler Effect'.

Could very likely be, Gerry.
Didn't think it sounded quite right.
Thank you.
