Banner Towing Questions

Hey guys,

Just have a few queries for any of the banner towing gurus out there.

What does an average banner system weigh?
Is there a maximum weight / size limit set in the Regulations by CASA?
or is banner weight / size purely aircraft performance based?

Cheers

Banner Towing Questions

The banner size is limited by its effect on performance. Each individual aircraft requires a flight manual supplement based on the banner system being used. Gasser is a popular manufacturer of aerial banners and billboards. I used to operate a Piper Super Cub and it was permitted to tow a banner containing 35 x 7' high letters / characters or 40 x 5' high using the Gasser system.
