Trusted pilots
I see the 2014 list of trusted people & professions has hit the streets, we pilots haven't done too bad coming in at #5 out of #50 on the trusted professions list, pretty good seeing as it's our fault that the Airlines are often late:-)
I note Pollies are almost at the bottom #49, hmmmm are we surprised?
ATC'ers are #8, not too bad guys I guess yr BNE boys/girls have let the side down but there's room for improvement there me thinks, ohhh that's a hot potato Now as that 'Left' or 'Leaving' FL350?
Cops #11, pretty sad actually:-(
Paramedics are on top, I agree 100% on that score.
F/A's are #18, not too shabby there girls, skirts aren't short enuf obviously so keep working on those hemlines
Cabbies are #41, no surprised there!
It's interesting to see what professions surprisingly are a long way down the list.
As for the top 100 trusted individuals, well that's interesting reading also with Schapelle & her Sister Merc are down the bottom!
Good 'Ole Dick Smith comes in at #10 pretty good effort considering the bashing the guy is getting over the Willy CTZ thread (VHMDX), somebody must like him
But the big ticket item here on that list is the 95th most trusted person out of a 100 is ....yep you guessed it AJ, QF must be happy about that!
So all in all amusing reading if not sad & typical!

"He's still a working-class boy," said one of Joyce's staunchest supporters, former defence force chief and Qantas board member General Peter Cosgrove.
"People become fixated on his appointment and his ($5 million) remuneration and probably think he's some kind of silvertail," he said.
"Alan Joyce came from a working-class background and dragged himself up through a career. He's a very clever, very compassionate and very talented man who is doing a great job as the CEO."
Cosgrove has loved watching Joyce outflank the enemy recently, shepherding passengers into hotel rooms or on to alternative airlines.
"It was more impressive than anything I've seen in the military," Cosgrove said. "Given that we hadn't made a decision until the Saturday, anything that happened after that was going to be pretty impressive."

Cosgrove said what????????
For a start, what is the GG doing commenting publicly on such things anyway, and even then to degrade the ADF who served in Timor, Iraq and Afghanistan and wherever else or even at home when not on active duty, is nothing short of disgraceful.
But no, can't stop there, he then manages to insult the entire workforce at QF.
Any lawyers think the GG is exposing himself to a defamation case here? Few thousand pilots V The GG.
That would make the papers!
Personally I am not impressed one bit. The Queen should be calling him in for tea and bikkies.

Jaba
I reckon he said it before he became GG.
But I was also surprised at what he said because Cosgrove is normally not like that.
