Darwin award candidates and CASA fodder

Posted to Facebook today in the Necknomianation craze is two complete tossers hanging from a helicopter while downing beers. Clearly having the money to afford a helicopter and licence does not imply having the intelligence and judgment to deserve either.

VH-YBL for those who are interested.

Very enjoyable video! Would like to see them do that on Sydney Harbour, with maybe a 'browneye' thrown in for good measure
Love the Chopper colour lads. You should paint the Ferrari in matching colours

P.S Inspector Plod from the CAsA Third Reich will be knocking on your hangar door tomorrow morning As amusing as it was, it is just a tad naughty and somebody will have to pay the reaper.

Perhaps it is the heat wave at the moment or a full moon, but ol mate below went in the water in a budgie cage while a pissed off tiger shark stared him down;

Unless the VH has been photo-shopped into the video, it seems yet another fish has thrown himself into the CASA frying pan.

Astonishing.

The real retard was the one flying it. - Let's see:

Loading more pax than seats? not strapping pax in, not securing cargo on skids (if allowed at all?) dropping objects (are bogans 'objects'?).
And the biggie - setting himself up to be caught.... SO EASILY. Derrr.

He does not need to be prosecuted for any of the above. Mental disorders are a defence against most crimes. Surely his medical examiner will certify him as of unsound mind and he won't be flying anything ever again?

When I go to bed tonight I will pray that Darwin gets them all before they have a chance to breed.

What is it about helicopter pilots that compels them to do really dumb things and then post it on Youtube?

Every other time this has been done it's ended up in tears for the video stars.

So the Popodopolous boys have Ferrari's and Choppers and loads of bling to play with, that's cool, I get it. But, why in gods name are they drinking VB? No Crown Lager, a Boag or vanilla latte? WTF.

It's a bit hard to stay low-key and off the regulatory radar when you hoon around in a bright orange R44 and post a video on Youtube.

The passengers in the yellow Ferrari looked like Lebo drug dealers.

I thought I was having fun once but realised 30 seconds too late that I came too close to permanently emptying my bag of luck and my bag of experience was pretty darn empty as well.

Maybe the pilot is looking for a job at a certain FNQ station coz he seems to be "keeping up with" them.

Beautiful!

The owner of all the assets is a Sydney Fruiterer.
That's good, as the inbound CAsA pineapple won't be unfamiliar to him

The owner?

Yeah both the Chopper vid and the budgie smuggler shark diver were on the news in one night. Why TF do they show this on TV - Just more clowns want to try it.

But yeah - Why oh why do something stupid and illegal and post it on the net with your REGO? That is seriously dumb.

At least they had the sense to grab and let go of the skids together.

CASA won't do anything about it.

Actual safety issues in GA don't get a look in. Only trivial paperwork inconsistencies by AOC holders are of interest to CASA. They'll probably give the lot of them (pilot and "passengers") jobs as FOIs
