C182/C206 hire Parafield, Adelaide or Aldinga.

G'day,

Looking to do some flying in a Cessna 182 or a Cessna 206 for a potential upcoming job, somewhere in the Adelaide region (i.e. Parafield, Adelaide, Aldinga, Murray Bridge etc). Forsyth Aviation have shut up shop and their successor does not operate 182's anymore. Private hire through an individual/group or flying school would be what I'm after, but any help at all would be appreciated.

Regards,

Any updates

Anyone have any updates on the status of C182 for hire in the Adelaide region. I suspect that the 2 or 3 of them that Forsyth had online are still available from somewhere?

Not sure if BOM is still in the Adelaide area but it was a great 182, 2004 model I think. It used to be available from Forsyth's.

BOM

Did BOM have the G1000 or the traditional steam dial instrumentation?

Forsyth packed up shop mid last year. I work for the company that took over many of its operations now, but both 182's that Forsyth had available have long gone. I know BOM is still kicking around yppf, however, I believe Dick Lang is the current operator. No idea what happened to the other one.

I was looking for the same thing last August. Closest I could find was a C182 at Mildura. Reasonable aircraft, reasonable hire cost. Good service by the guys at the local flying school. I'll be going back there again if the need arises.

Thread Bump. Anyone have any updates for 2019? New in town. The usual googling has not turned up too much, I notice there is a 206 at Hartwig and a glass 182 at Aerostar. Not a student at these schools so scratch that. Aldinga has a 182 but only for dual at this stage. I’m on the lookout for hour building/private hire, any help appreciated. Cheers.

Aerostar will let you hire theirs. You'd probably need to do a check flight first though.

Munz,

Not sure our previous post got to you. Have a look at our Aldinga based syndicate www.flyinglogan.com.au Costs are not after a big mark up with everything going back into the aircraft. Entry and exit from the syndicate is also risk free and the unit purchase can be freely funded.
