Talking Melbourne Pilot Prospect

I am a high school student who has ambitions to become a pilot, there are many schools and organisations which offer several pathways for me to achieve this goal. I would like for someone to shed some light on the best MOST EFFICIENT pathway for me to fulfil my dream.

i.e university, cadetships, airforce, etc..

Also reading some discussions on your experience and how you came to become a pilot would help.

p.s also if I do become a pilot (in Melbourne Australia) what would my finances be like???

I look forward to acquiring some much needed insight.
Thank you all who help in this forum.
