ERSA is part of the AIP, the part with the applicable aeronautical info in...

Have flown for companies who's ops manual requires carriage of the AIP. That makes it a legal requirement (when actually flying for that company, anyway).

Well, Blacklabel, when he is trucking along in his plane he is not likely to have AIP with him or need to look anything in it up.
If he uses Jepps, he will anyway.
