Seeking a Good LAME

Gidday guys,

I need to find a good lame to maintain my C172M. It is due for it's first annual in April and I don't want to return it to the first guy I used.

I would appreciate any suggestions and comments people are prepared to make. If you want to keep your thoughts confidential please PM me instead of posting on board. Oh by the way I'm located in the Geelong area, Victoria.

Thanks in advance.

Jim

Can I ask why you dont want to return to the previous LAME?
1) Was it because he did NOT do work that you think should have been done, or, 2)was it because he did work that YOU thought unnecessary and therefore the cost was higher than you wanted to pay?
Bet I can guess, but tell us anyway.

Find your man and travel to him.....MAM (Macleay Aircraft Maintenance) Darren Gibson- Kempsey NSW. The only bloke who I'd allow to raise a spanner to my birds. Fly up and spend the time either helping and learning about your aircraft or rest up at Sth West Rocks or Crescent Head. Darren has a pick up service for your aircraft also. He is extremely experienced and HONEST. good luck

I am changing LAMES because of some inconsistancies in dealings with the first one. Im certainly not creating this thread to become a slagging zone of LAMES. I figure there must be some good/fair ones in Victoria?

Jim.

Long shot for you. I have had just one experience to go by, and this guy seemed honest, and very helpful. Do some additional homework perhaps.

Robert Wallace, 0409 002 152. He is in Yarrawonga.
