isobars..

and none between them. And the situation reversed futher south.
That low giving the north hot inland air, and that high giving Adelaide and south hot inland air??. Qld having a break up north, from the Wet, with a weak ridge up the coast..a la winter.
The most 'unsual' wx patterns due the fact we havent been in Oz long enough to see it all..?

OR,,, its all due to Global Warming / Cooling depending how you read the Scientists and /or Skeptics

Certainly been a big year for hot air out of CB, and thats enough to upset anyone's equilibrium.
Could be them.

They'll need to pay you a consultancy fee now, Tinnie, or name that 'weather' pattern after you!

Maybe if they spent more time reading the models and less time on PPRuNe they would be able to at least guess when to put TS on a taf/arfor instead of waiting for an airep.

Usual BOM forecasting - two bob each way!

(50% chance of above average rainfall = 50% chance of below average rainfall)

Not sure about that, after dinner with Mrs Jaba we went for a walk through town and down Hay Street....was only one place with any sign of doing business, unless perhaps we were out and about too early

Not the Amsterdam in the bush I was expecting to see.

coldies...

Isnt "Thronobar" (tm) a Japanese toilet product with heated seat and cold cabinet with it, so you can sit... and drink..... and think, about the wx.

(the earlier model, without seat heat must have been the "Iceobar" )
