Lancair: does it crash when you try to start a download, or when simply tapping the "downloads" item on the config screen?
Things to try:
- Restart the iPad again
- Delete the app and re-install from the App Store. (This will lose your user waypoints)

Hi baswell, it was crashing as soon as I hit the downloads button. Ive tried turning the iPad off and on but its the same. I have only one user waypoint so far so no big deal, Ill try deleting and re-installing from the app store now and let you know.
EDIT: Have now tried deleting the app and reinstalling ti from the app store but it still crashes as soon as I click the downloads button. Ive read other have got it working ? ? Fortunately for me, Im grounded after hernia repair surgery for another few weeks so Im in no hurry for it to be working. But I respectfully suggest to others who do need to use it with downloaded maps, dont do the update to iOS5 until the fix for Ozrunways is available. It appears to be working fine otherwise.

Yep, as I said it seems to work normal other than can't download the maps etc and the AIP serach just stis there and does nothing.
Can see the maps and airfields, ersa entries etc online.
Attempt to download and the whole propgram just quits completely and instantly you hit download button.

I don't get apple? Their point of difference was that they were nothing like microsoft. ios5 has completely rooted the bluetooth connections I had between iPhone and my car. My iPhone (3gs) continues to turn itself off and re-boot during phone calls (only started to do it about 3 months out of warranty). Whenever I start my macbook pro calendar, word, my day, e-mail and iTunes opens, it's really starting to piss me off. This was after updating to Lion.
I used to think they were bullet proof and just a little bit ethical
