Why choose Network and the F100, because they both make money, low capital ingoing, high net return on investment.

IMO the main reasons are: Network already has them, they're reasonably cheap but they are also much lighter from an air nav charges POV. Companies have been known to reduce the Flight Manual limit weights by a few tonnes to reduce the air nav/pavement charges.

As for being a "premium service", they are sardine cans compared to the 146, 717 or ijit.

Because it is the best 100 seat jet out there, sorry Bloggs the 717 comes second and at around $5-8m each they are a bargain.

As a matter of curiosity, what max pax number are the F100 certified for? For example, last time I looked at the 717 AFM it was 125.

A better question: Why was Qantas allowed to purchase Network in the first place?

Who's permission did they need????

GG

You need a pretty smart arse in this game mate, too many people trying to shove something up it... only a smart arse can tell the difference between a pineapple and the fingers of that really cute lady doc as she checks your prostate... Not that I would know anything about that, you understand...

Back on topic... the F100 is probably the best in the 100 seat class if you discount baby Boeings and Airbii... more economical than the 146 and with much better systems than the other (old) twin jets. Nice flight deck too...
