From the 2010 Award:
"standard rate means the minimum salary for a Captain single engine UTBNI 1360 kg in Schedule B divided by 52"

i.e. a week's wages for the lowest paid pilot on this award.

So an allowance of 834% of standard rate just means two month's extra salary per year at the rate of the lowest paid pilot. Not a whole lot of return for the effort and cost of getting to Grade 1 + META. Sounds like quantum physics to me !

Hey I know this thread starter! He's a Nigerian prince, he emailed me last week about some other business that I can't discuss.

The grammar gives it away.
