Charts and AIP are available directly from the source at:
The AIP shop
you can also download the whole thing for free from:
AIP New Zealand
Depending on where you are located in the world, items like headsets may be cheaper in your neck of the woods. The NZ dollar is in the toilet at the moment (down to US$0.50c), so all the imported goodies like headsets and GPS units (not to mention avgas which is apparently going up by 18c litre) are starting to get very expensive again...
oh for the days of the US$0.75-0.80c exchange rate

Thumbs up from me to TradeMe and Downunder Pilot Shop.
Friend of mine got a David Clark headset of fairly recent vintage, in excellent condition, for $100 or thereabouts. Had only had one owner and light use, it was a great deal from TradeMe.

Most half reasonable training organisations sell the charts etc usually with very little mark up and also have access to a range of headsets.
I would recommend checking out the headset prices before you get here, as you will probably do as well at home or via the US by shopping on line.
