Newman - WTF has been going on there recently??

Visited ZNE for the first time in a month recently. I was stunned by the new broggy marks all over the runway, including a dual-wheel bogey skid which actually went over the runway edge line!

It looks like the strip has recently been opened up for the BHP donut kings.

Whatever's been going on, it must have looked pretty "sporting" from the cockpit!

Thumbs up Newman!

Well,
One must try, indeed, prove one's abillity.
Don't try to beat the cops.
That will not work.
Fly. That's what you do.
Cops don't.

Similar at Warwick, Tyre marks all over the runway from Volvo doing their brake testing there.

Since he failed, i will try to explain what he was trying to say.

To wreck the runway you will need 1000 hp+ and do a static burnout till your tires burst. If it is a bitumen runway( i think Newman is ) such a show will leave a considerable dip in the surface since it will melt the bitumen simply.
Regarding the cop thing, the vehicle on the photo is a VQ Statesman modified to Super Street category which means it is capable of 11 seconds quarter mile speed. It is not a real cop car since Statesmans were not available to police at the time.
He thinks it is the fastest car in town....but wait till he sees my Hemi Challenger on the horizon...

Thanks SMS. That makes a little more sense. Yes, NWN is a bitumen runway. I'll try to get some pics next time I'm there for you to give your opinion about what "made" them.

Hmmmm Pyro is right, except he forgot to mention that the surface has been ruined in a few places!

Council were not real smart!

Funny you should mention that Wiz, because this week he is belting around in the 182...possibly looking for more "leaves".
