The end of Mooney?

Shame if true, i think they've gone through the ringer a fews times in the past, anyone aware of how close to the bone they have been previously?

Mooney Halts All Aircraft Production | AVIATION WEEK

Hope they sell their fleet backlog and get some financial backing and bounce back!

Or perhaps Piper may buy into Mooney to counter Cessna's Columbia acquisition?

The US automobile industry is on the ropes. There are people (many) that have lost fortunes in the stockmarket in recent weeks. Mooney announced last week that it is laying off 200 workers. Hopefully, they get through this, because it isn't just Mooney that is being effected. A lot of companies were delaying layoffs until the effects of this mortgage crisis were better gauged. Mooney might just be one of the first to act.
